The right fibers (df's) link specific basal body triplets to the two-membered microtubular roots The right fibers are complex, multicomponent structures consisting of filaments arranged in a fanlike pattern. They are cross-striated by transverse bands and almost identical in size and appearance at both basal bodies. BAp90 is localized within these fibers.
